Life Cycle of Bed Bugs

Egg

The eggs take about 6 – 10 days to hatch into nymphs.
Nymph
In this stage, the morphology of a bed bug nymphs is similar as its adult form, but are smaller in size and generally yellowish-white in colour.
Nymphs has to undergo 5 stages of molting before tuning into an adult bed bug
Adult
Bed bugs do not necessarily feed at night only. They do feed in the day as well depending on the competition for food or the time of human activity.
Bed bugs can survive and remain active at temperatures as low as 7°C (46°F), but they die when their body temperatures reaches 45°C (113°F).
Signs of Bed Bugs Infestation

However, bed bugs bites may not be the best indicator for bed bugs infestation. Bed bug bites can be mistaken easily for other insects bites or rashes. Some may not have any reactions towards bed bug bites.

The black droppings are the fecal deposits and are the most common sign found. As the spotting is digested blood, they are black or dark brown in colour. When deposited on a substrate like paper or fabric which absorbs the liquid before it dries it resembles mould spot
